I have come to some sort of conclusion about what I am going contribute towards my graphic arts piece. I am going to print having used photoshop or do a screen print. I may also display the book called "The Obama files".  I am  going to go back to the beginning of where I started off with Environments and Journeys and focus more on nature. I am going to record and design images based  on places that I have been to and different plants that I have come across and do a "multi-colour" collage. Places or objects that I come across in or outdoors.
My ideas have begun to develop already and I plan to later scan the images that I have made and continue.
soon all my ideas will come together.

"Sleepless Night"
This man was sleeping on the opposite side
to where I was sitting on the train on the way home
in the evening.

"Blue Man"
I was fascinated by a guy at uni who was wearing all blue.
He had blue capri pants on and was also wearing blue stockings.

This image was taken on my phone on
the DLR of a man who looked like he was wearing
the wrong pair of shoes.

I have completed essay based on Visual communication and cultural studies, explaining how I could relater my work to an artist or practice that I have learned or heard about in a lecture. I focused on the Avant-Garde movement and looked at Greenberg's point of view.
Completed the majority of the projects set for Illustration. Regarding Graphic arts, I am not going to incorporate paintings anymore. It will make everything too complicated and take away from the original message, so I am going to continue and do a series of books. Possibly eight, I will try to edit them on photoshop and then screen print my pages.
For my exhibition, so far I plan to  exhibit my books based on dreams but I am still not sure that I will continue with the book idea, I might do a collage of all the dreams together and print them), images from the surveillance project, multiple collage screen printed image (based on trip to Italy). I am not sure what other pieces I am going to exhibit yet.
I have been looking at artists who's work I thought related to mine regarding design and compositions, David Shrigley and Paul Davis. At the moment I have not found a lot that interests me.
I am going to post some of the work that I have been doing.

Almost completed essay which is based on photography. have researched Nadar, Suzanne Opton, read the book "The pain Regarding Others" which is based on war photography. It is all very interesting looking at the way photography has developed and how sometimes, a photographer can assume that the photograph is going to have one meaning but than has another to a wider audience.
Unfdortunately I have not been to visit any galleries recently but plan to very soon so that I can gain some inspiration and knowledge.
The book and painting combinations are on their way.

I am thinking that I may combine all the images that I have done regarding journey's and environments. I have found it be be easier to draw from primary images rather than drawing from a story that has come from my dreams. I have no set way as yet of how I would like to portray the images but I am trying now, to make them not look too serious, at the same time not too cartoony.

The images that have been recently posted are of what I am currently doing.
One is of the lizard man for the zoo project, the others of obama are for graphic arts and the brown image of the library was a possible idea for zoo keeping.

The reason why I put this particular image up of the pregnant lady up, was not only because it is interesting but also because, with zoo keeping, the animals are on show, and this person who has been stripped down to muscles is also on show too.
recently I have been reading some interesting things about Damien Hurst with his sculpture/model of him, shooting himself in the head.
There are other things which I have read and would like to illustrate but at the moment I am not sure how to.
For example, a few weeks ago I read about a boy who was eaten by an Alligator and his remains were found inside.
At the moment I am just trying to focus on one thing at a time and even though the progress may be slow it will be of a good quality.

I am looking at different subjects that could be put under...zoo keeping. I have thought of noise and people, for example, King's cross station where there are a lot of people and often times there is always a rush. Also I have thought about the library at uni and the amount of noise and people that are sometimes not under control, whether walking up and down or being loud, a combination of both or just taking up too much space.
I wanted to look at pregnant lady's for this, not because I see the baby as an animal but because when the baby is a few months old, it starts to move around and kick and you woman is not necessarily able to control it.
I looked at children. The above images are taken from google as an example.

The previous pictures of the different types of books are from the internet, all the other images are drawn by myself. In illustration i am doing a new project entitled "Zoo Keeping". This is a project that all of the class have to participate in and collaborate ideas. I will be doing three or four images to be added to our collage.
Nearly finished book entitled "The Obama Files"

I am going to do some experiments with paper cut outs and different books, for example, french fold or another origami still in which the paper is folded in half three times over, opened into half, torn half way down the middle, then pushed together to create a four page book.
Now I am continuing on with the theme of Journey's and environments. I have realised that what I have been doing relates to things being revealed and also have an element of surprise to them. I have now found the images that i would like to use and incorporate into the making of the dreams.
for illustration I am going to firstly work form some photographs that I had taken in Italy, this relates to spatial awareness. Then I am going to see if I can work from an actual location, for example, Kings Cross station. I will see what gallery I can go to also. The images that I have been working on will be posted soon.

I am now focusing on different types of journeys and environments. For example I am going to now try and illustrate my dreams because that also represents my theme. Dreams will be interesting to work with because I have them on a regular basis and can often remember them quite clearly.
Also I am going to illustrate unusual things that you do not see on a regular basis, which I have taken pictures of, for example, two cats on two wheely bins or, a man eating a fat piece of chicken on the train from a bag and making a mess on the floor.
I think that I will be able to work better if I have more of a variety.
